DEVELOPING OUR WORKFORCE

Planning, constructing, and operating a lithium mine takes a skilled workforce committed to success, safety and community stability. The proposed Kings Mountain lithium mine is expected to provide just that for its workforce and the Kings Mountain community.

The creation of more than 1,000 construction jobs and over 300 full-time, highly skilled positions in engineering, geology, metallurgy, environmental, and health and safety, and administration, as this project is intended to, should help to generate economic growth for Kings Mountain and throughout Cleveland and Gaston Counties.

We recognize the importance of creating and maintaining a long-term pipeline of talent. We are working diligently with the county school system to create additional science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities within its primary education curriculum. We are also exploring internships and scholarships for students and plan to partner with higher-education institutions on mining and engineering opportunities.

At Albemarle, we are committed to fostering a diverse and equitable environment. We offer competitive benefits, rewards and career support, no matter the current stage of your career journey. Want to join us? Check out our jobs and see how we can help you unlock your full potential.
